This art reflects a modern interpretation of a classical Zen garden landscape. Another fine art photography inspired by a Japanese garden; the calmness, the simplicity of the design, how each element's placement creates a natural "flow." In such an inspirational environment, it allows me to slow down and enjoy the moments while I am strolling on the garden path. I collected natural objects such as a broken maple branch and stones from my garden, brought them back to my studio to create this contemporary still-life photography. I enhanced the image digitally to create more depth while still keeping the composition simple with enough negative space for the eyes to rest. Just how you would you take a moment and relax on a garden bench, it is as essential to creating a well-balanced artwork as well that allows you to pause, to rest your mind. The off-white colored background with black and shades of grey provides an "ink effect" to mimic the Chinese Ink brush painting style. It is the perfect contemporary fine art photography for living spaces to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
