This art reflects a modern interpretation of a classical Zen garden landscape. I am always inspired when I visit a Japanese garden; the calmness, the simplicity of the design, how each element's placement creates a natural "flow." In such an inspirational environment, it allows me to slow down and enjoy the moments while I am strolling on the garden path. I collected natural objects from my garden, brought them back to my studio to create this contemporary still-life photography. I wanted to design a simple composition with enough negative space for the eyes to rest. Just how you would you take a moment and relax on a garden bench, it is as essential to creating a well-balanced artwork as well that allows you to pause, to rest your mind. I used a black background with various shades of blues in the organic objects to make a bold statement while maintaining a minimalist style. It is the perfect contemporary fine art photography for living spaces to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
